Originally commissioned by Rookwood Necropolis in 1996 in an exhibition ‘Death: Insights on Life’
curated by Eileen Chanin at the Lewers Bequest and Penrith Regional Art Gallery.

This early work preceded the series ‘Risk as Pleasure’ and ‘The Architecture of Risk', Laurens Tan’s doctoral thesis' and
projects (UTS, 1997-2005) which used Las Vegas as primary research site.
